I remember when I first left my house and started living in a PG, everything seemed nice and independent. It was just that one day, one moment, when I was crossing a busy street that I saw a father in front of me take the little hand of his daughter, and help her cross the road.
It struck me at that moment, that in the entire city of Noida, there wasn’t a single person whom I could trust blindly to help me ‘cross the road’.
We all grow up, we all learn to take care of ourselves. But there are times when you are tired of taking care of yourself. And so subconsciously, we all look for that one person whom we can trust blindly, so that if the need arises, we just take their hand… and ‘cross our roads’.
Sometimes it’s all about searching for that one person who makes you feel safe.
